What to expect
Before we begin
- You will complete a medical history form
- We will discuss your medical history and your expectations for the massage
- We will agree upon a treatment plan
- You will undress privately and lie under a blanket on the massage table
During your massage
- You will be modestly draped at all times
- I will address your concerns as laid out in your treatment plan prior to your massage
- I will check in with you a few times regarding your comfort
- You should let me know if you are ever uncomfortable
- You may chat if you like. Deeper relaxation however, is likely to occur with silence, deep breathing or meditation
After your massage
- I will leave the room so that you may dress.
- You may be sore for a day or two, much like you would feel after a good workout.
- If soreness lasts longer than a day or two, please let me know at your next appointment so that the pressure can be adjusted.
